Drazy Hoops New York, NY Drazy Hoops is a Singer/Songwriter/Multi-Instrumentalist who was born in Chicago and is now based in New York City. From 1998 to the present Drazy has completed 6 albums (including this year's 2 record set Hey Sunshine and That Which Doesn't Kill You). His songs appear in such feature films as "The Book of Life" by Hal Hartley, and "Next Stop Wonderland" by Brad Anderson. A compilation of songs from Drazy's first 3 records called A World Away (First Flight Records) was released in Australia and New Zealand in July of 2003.
More like little films that ebb and flow from song to song, Drazy still believes in making full length conceptual records. From his debut recording Straight To Black (Shimmydisc/Knitting Factory Records), to the current 2 record set, Drazy has set out to create music of depth and emotional substance that defies category. In today's era of genre specific music Drazy remains committed to his ideals and artistic vision. His music is unique and exists in a very real lyrical and emotional space.
